Olufunto Olude is a trained pharmacist who graduated from University of Ibadan in the 2001. She started out her career as a hospital pharmacist at St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos Island and then proceeded to the Federal Neuro -Psychiatric Hospital Yaba, Lagos where she practices till date as the head of the pharmacy store. Her interaction with patients of diverse backgrounds and seeing their desire for genuine care from their health care providers led her into developing her skill in customer service delivery.
She obtained a Certificate Masters’ degree and a Diploma in Customer Service from Customer Service Training Institute, USA and further proceeded to obtain a professional certification from the Service Quality Institute, USA, as a Certified Customer Service Professional and recently as a Human Resources Business Professional from Human Resource Certification Institute USA. She is a fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of the Pharmacy and a trained facilitator for the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Olufunto is also a contributor in Africa’s first retail pharmacy magazine, FLOURISH where she writes on customer service issues.
Personal Experience
Alongside her professional duties Olufunto runs service delivery trainings in hospitals and various organizations promoting the service culture. She exhibits great leadership qualities, creativity, team spirit and desire to make a change in the society. With this personality, she is able to inspire young women and men to discover their talents, harness it and use it for the greater good of the society. She loves to organize events and has done so for various individuals and organizations with capacities as much as 3000 people and trainings for over 2000 people which include workshops and mentoring programs for young pharmacists. She is the convener of “ Finding your place in space” a program designed to inspire, support and guide the young pharmacist in navigating their career path and she presently runs “ The Meeting Point Ng” a mentoring platform to enhance the skills and competencies of young pharmacists as well as celebrate outstanding talent. Seeing her passion for young pharmacists, she has become the pioneer program coordinator for the NAPHARM Young Pharmacists Mentoring Program. Her values include professionalism, integrity, hard work and courtesy which are exhibited in her poise. She believes, in building someone else you build yourself.
